Treasury Sanctions Iran’s Bank Tejarat for ‘Illicit’ Activities

The U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned Iran’s Bank Tejarat for providing financial services to banks and companies already subject to international restrictions.

The U.S. has now sanctioned 23 Iranian-linked financial institutions “based on their involvement in Iran’s illicit activities,” the Treasury said in a statement in Washington today.
