Mark Wilson Wins PGA Tour’s Humana Challenge by Two Strokes

Mark Wilson won golf’s Humana Challenge by two strokes for his fifth U.S. PGA Tour victory and third in the past two seasons.

Wilson birdied his final hole yesterday to finish 24 under par over four rounds at three different courses in La Quinta, California. Robert Garrigus, John Mallinger and Johnson Wagner tied for second at 22 under.

The 37-year-old Wilson, who shot a 10-under-par 62 during the second round, receives $1.08 million for the victory. He had PGA Tour victories last season at the Phoenix Open and Sony Open in Hawaii.

The PGA Tour next moves to La Jolla, California, for the $6 million Farmers Insurance Open from Jan. 26-29.
