Indonesia Stock Movers: Bumi Resources, Delta Dunia Makmur

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Indonesian trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices as of the close in Jakarta.

The Jakarta Composite index rose 0.6 percent to 4,001.07, gaining for a third straight day.

Metal Producers: PT International Nickel Indonesia (INCO) , the nation’s biggest producer of the metal, advanced 4.4 percent to 3,575 rupiah. PT Timah (TINS) , Indonesia’s largest tin producer, rose 1.7 percent to 1,770 rupiah. Nickel futures rose as much as 1.2 percent to $19,734 a metric ton in London today. Tin climbed as much as 1.5 percent to $22,100 a ton.

PT Bumi Resources (BUMI IJ), Indonesia’s biggest coal producer, increased 2 percent to 2,575 rupiah, the highest close since Sept. 21. The company’s metal mining unit, PT Bumi Resources (BUMI) Minerals, said it obtained an exploitation permit for an iron-ore concession in Mauritania.

PT Delta Dunia Makmur (DOID) , a coal mining contractor, jumped 10 percent to 740 rupiah, the highest close since Sept. 21. Delta said it obtained a five-year, $820 million extension on a mining contract from a unit of coal producer PT Bayan Resources.
