Schulte Roth Hires Ex-Goldman Lawyer for Regulatory Practice
Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP hired Brad Caswell, a former assistant general counsel at Goldman Sachs Group (GS), to help the New York-based law firm expand its regulatory and compliance practice.
Caswell, 41, who most recently was general counsel and chief compliance officer at City on a Hill Capital LP, has worked for numerous hedge funds, private-equity funds and managed accounts, Marc Elovitz, head of the firm’s 70-attorney regulatory and compliance practice, said in a statement. In addition to Goldman Sachs, Caswell also has worked at DKR Capital Partners LP and DKR Oasis Management Co.
“Brad’s in-house experience as general counsel and chief compliance officer, as well as his years of advising private investment firms, will complement the capabilities of our practice,” Elovitz said in the statement.
Caswell will be based in New York and work as a special counsel to hedge funds and private-equity funds on operational, regulatory and compliance matters, according to the statement.
Schulte Roth & Zabel has offices in New York, Washington and London.
