Turkish December Budget Deficit 17.9 Billion Liras

(Corrects deficit figures for December and full year in first and second paragraphs.)

Turkey’s budget deficit posted a deficit of 17.9 billion liras in December, Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said.

The overall deficit for last year was 17.5 billion liras, Simsek said at a news conference in Ankara today.
