Spain’s Foreign Minister Looks to Boost Country, Expansion Says

Spain’s Foreign Affairs Minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo called a meeting on Jan. 24 with top executives of 23 big companies to set foreign policy goals and bolster the country’s brand, Expansion reported, citing unidentified people organizing the meeting.

Telefonica SA (TEF) Chief Executive Officer Cesar Alierta, Banco Santander SA (SAN) Chairman Emilio Botin, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria’s Francisco Gonzalez and Repsol YPF SA (REP)’s Antonio Brufau are among the executives invited to the meeting in Madrid, the newspaper said.
