Ghana Opposition to Name Bawumia as Running Mate, Joy Reports

Nana Akufo-Addo, presidential candidate for Ghana’s main opposition party, is expected to choose former central bank Deputy Governor Mahamudu Bawumia as his running mate for a December election, Joy FM reported, citing people it didn’t identify.

Akufo-Addo told party executives he wants to retain Bawumia, who was his vice-presidential candidate in his 2008 bid for the presidency, according to the Accra-based radio station.
