Egypt Says Deficit to Reach 8.7% of GDP This Year

Egypt’s budget deficit is targeted to reach about 8.7 percent of gross domestic product this fiscal year, the country’s minister for planning and international cooperation, Fayza Aboulnaga, said today at a press conference in Cairo. She was correcting a figure of 9.7 percent that she gave earlier.
