Thailand Stocks: Airports of Thailand, Italian-Thai Development
Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Bangkok.
The SET Index (SET) rose 0.1 percent to 1,052.23.
Airports of Thailand Pcl (AOT TB), Thailand’s biggest airfield operator, climbed 2.6 percent to 50 baht, halting a two-day decline. Passenger traffic at its airports in December jumped 25 percent from the previous month to 5.92 million, according to the data on the company’s website.
Italian-Thai Development Pcl (ITD) , the nation’s biggest construction company, rose 1.7 percent to 3.66 baht, its biggest gain since Dec. 2. The company may change the fuel supply for a power plant in Myanmar after the government scrapped plans to use coal, Somchet Thinaphong, managing director of Italian- Thai’s Myanmar unit, said yesterday in an interview.
Kasikornbank Pcl (KBANK) , the country’s third-largest lender by assets, added 1.3 percent to 116.50 baht. Kasikorn Asset Management Co., the bank’s mutual fund unit, plans to boost assets under management by 22 percent to about 900 billion baht in 2012, Ampol Polohakul, Kasikorn Asset’s executive chairman, told reporters in Bangkok today.
