Intel CEO Otellini Projects 2011 Sales of $54 Billion

(Corrects first paragraph to show projection was for 2011, not 2012.)

Intel Corp. (INTC) Chief Executive Officer Paul Otellini said in an interview with Fox Business that 2011 sales were probably $54 billion, in line with the $53.9 billion average of analysts’ estimates compiled by Bloomberg.

“Any way you look at it, this will be the best year in Intel’s history,” Otellini said in the televised interview, which was also disseminated on the Web. “We’ll probably get $54 billion of revenue.”
