Greece Won’t Raise Power Prices Again in 2012, Naftemporiki Says

Greece won’t impose any further electricity tariff increases in 2012, Naftemporiki newspaper reported, citing George Papaconstantinou, the energy, climate change and environment minister .
The ministry announced average tariff increases of 9.2 percent from Jan. 1 for Public Power Corp SA (PPC), the biggest electricity supplier, to help the company service its debt and remain profitable.
