Credicorp Ltd. (BAP) , Peru’s largest financial-services company, rose 3.7 percent to $108.50. Corp. Aceros Arequipa SA (CORA) (CORAREI1 PE), the Lima-based steelmaker, climbed 2.1 percent to 1.97 soles. Grana y Montero SA (GRAMONC1 PE), Peru’s largest construction firm, gained 2 percent to 6.73 soles. Scotiabank Peru SA (SCOTIAC1) (SCOTIAC1 PE), the local unit of Canada’s third-largest bank, rose 1.4 percent to 36.50 soles.
Miners surged after metals advanced in New York and London.
Alturas Minerals Corp. (ALT) , a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, rose 11 percent to 10 cents. Rio Cristal Resources Corp. (RCZ) , a Canadian exploration company, gained 10 percent to 11 cents. Minera IRL Ltd. (MIRL) , a U.K. gold miner with a mine in Peru, advanced 5.9 percent to $1.08. Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML) , a Canadian exploration company, climbed 5 percent to 42 cents. Southern Copper Corp. (PCU\C) (SCCO PE), Peru’s biggest copper producer, rose 2.8 percent to $31.83.
