Peru Stocks: Maple, Panoro, Rio Alto, Pacasmayo, Southern Copper
The following companies are having unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 1:18 p.m. New York time.
The Lima General Index (IGBVL) rose 0.4 percent to 19,870.15. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index (MXPECAPD) climbed 0.2 percent to 2,548.98.
Industrial and mining stocks gained as investors bet fourth-quarter earnings will beat forecasts, said Leoncio Altamirano, a trader at Lima-based Juan Magot y Asociados SAB.
Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML) , a Canadian exploration company, climbed 5.1 percent to 41 cents. Maple Energy Plc (MPLE) , the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, rose 4.4 percent to $1.18. Grana y Montero SA (GRAMONC1) (GRAMONC1 PE), Peru’s largest construction firm, gained 3.2 percent to 6.50 soles. Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO) , a gold producer, rose for a sixth session, adding 2 percent to $3.60. Cementos Pacasmayo SAA (CPACASC1) (CPACASC1 PE), the Hochschild Group’s cement producer, rose 1.8 percent to 5.75 soles after disclosing plans for a $250 million American depositary receipt issue.
Southern Copper Corp. (PCU\C) (SCCO PE), the country’s biggest producer of the metal, fell for a fourth day, sliding 1.6 percent to $30.50 after copper declined in New York.
