Experian Says CFO Brooks Dies at Home in California

(Corrects date Brooks became CFO in second paragraph.)

Experian Plc (EXPN) Chief Financial Officer Paul Brooks, 58, died suddenly at his home in California at the weekend, the world’s largest credit-checking company said in a statement today.

Brooks, who was also a director of Serco Group Plc, had been chief financial officer of London-based Experian since October 2001.

“Paul’s legacy to Experian will be the very strong global finance team he developed, who will provide all the necessary support and coverage needed as we move forward,” Chairman John Peace said in the statement

The shares were 2 pence higher at 855 pence at 8.15 a.m. in London trading.
