Merkel Rejects Reports on President Wulff Succession, FAZ Says

German Chancellor Angela Merkel sees “no reason” to discuss a possible succession of President Christian Wulff, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported, citing government spokesman Steffen Seibert.
Rheinische Post and Frankfurt Allgemeine earlier reported discussions between Merkel and Vice-Chancellor Philipp Roesler on how to find a new candidate for the position should Wulff step down.
