The FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index (JALSH) gained 0.6 percent to 32,956.47 by 10:16 a.m. in Johannesburg, its highest intra-day level in almost a month.

AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. (ANG) , Africa’s biggest producer of the metal, increased for a third day, adding 0.5 percent to 351.89 rand. Gold rose as much as 0.6 percent to $1,613.26 an ounce, a fourth day of advances, reversing an earlier decline.
Impala Platinum Holdings Ltd. (IMP) , the second-biggest producer of the metal, advanced for a third day, adding 0.7 percent to 170.77 rand. Platinum gained as much as 0.6 percent to $1,434.50 an ounce, a third day of rises.
Lonmin Plc (LMI) , the third-biggest platinum miner, climbed 1.4 percent to 128.51 rand.
