PepsiCo May Buy Marilan for at Least $320 Million, Valor Says

PepsiCo Inc. is close to buying Brazilian cookie maker Marilan Alimentos SA for 600 million reais ($320 million) to 800 million reais, Valor Economico reported, without saying where it got the information.

Other potential bidders, including M. Dias Branco SA, Campbell Soup Co. (CPB) and Bunge Ltd. (BG), aren’t willing to make an offer in the range asked by Marilan’s controlling family, the Sao Paulo-based newspaper said.
