U.S. Will Pay States $300 Million Bonus for Children’s Health-Care Plans

Twenty-three states will receive almost $300 million in federal payments for enrolling children from low-income families in public health programs, the U.S. said.

A 2009 federal law allows states to qualify for the money if they surpass enrollment targets for Medicaid, the federal- state health program for the poor.
