Sri Lanka Leads South Africa by 426 Runs After Day Three of Second Test

Sri Lanka was 256-7 in its second innings when bad light ended play on day three of the second cricket Test against South Africa in Durban, a lead of 426 runs over the hosts.

Kumar Sangakkara hit 108, while wicketkeeper Dinesh Chandimal, on Test debut, scored 54 -- his second half-century of the match. Thisara Perera is 6 not out, with Rangana Herath unbeaten on 5. Dale Steyn was South Africa’s leading bowler with 3-54.

Yesterday, South Africa was bowled out for 168 in response to Sri Lanka’s first innings 338.

South Africa won the opening game of the three-Test series in Centurion by an innings and 81 runs.
