Sanofi Said It Repurchased $233.8 Million of Shares This Month

Sanofi has repurchased 178.9 million euros ($233.8 million) of its shares this month, according to filings on the French drugmaker’s website.
Sanofi bought 1.88 million shares at an average price of 52.84 euros each from Dec. 7 to Dec. 9, 1.2 million shares at an average of 53.54 euros each Dec. 14 to Dec. 16, and 285,000 shares at an average 53.68 euros each Dec. 19 to Dec. 20, according to the undated filings. The stock rose 1.6 percent to 56.10 euros at 11:42 a.m. in Paris, where the company is based.
Sanofi said in September it would continue with “opportunistic” buybacks.
