The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 4:10 p.m. Lima time.
Rio Cristal Resources Corp. (RCZ) , a Canadian exploration company, fell 10 percent to 9 cents. Candente Copper Corp. (DNT) , the Canadian mining exploration company with operations in Peru, dropped 6.1 percent to 93 cents. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca SA (POMALCC1 PE), a sugar producer, slid 4 percent to 48 centimos after futures declined in New York. Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN) , the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, fell 3.2 percent to $37.75 after opponents to its Minas Conga gold project said they plan protests Jan. 2. Maple Energy Plc (MPLE) , the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, dropped 1.8 percent to $1.08 after crude declined in New York.
