Iran Threat to Block Oil Shipments ‘Bluster,’ U.S. Aide Says
“It’s another attempt by them to distract attention from the real issue, which is their noncompliance with nuclear obligations,” Toner said of Iran.
The official Islamic Republic News Agency, citing Vice President Mohammed Reza Rahimi, said oil shipments would be blocked if sanctions are imposed on Iran’s crude oil exports.
“There’s an element of bluster to them,” Toner said of Iranian threats. “We think it’s a distraction.”
