South Korea Presidential Office Ignored Intel on Kim’s Death, Yonhap Says

South Korea’s presidential office ignored an intelligence report on North Korean leader Kim Jong Il’s death Dec. 17 because it was provided on a Saturday, Yonhap News reported, citing a lawmaker.
Park Sun Young, a lawmaker at the Liberty Forward Party, said Korea’s National Intelligence Service briefed the presidential office on the morning of the 17th about Kim’s death but the Blue House ignored the report because it was Saturday.
