Turkish Stocks: Arcelik, Yunsa Yunlu Sanayi Move in Istanbul

Turkey’s benchmark ISE National 100 Index (XU100) ended the day lower, down 0.7 percent to 51,747.43.

The following were among the active stocks on the Turkish market today. Stock symbols are in parentheses.

Arcelik AS (ARCLK) , the biggest maker of home appliances, climbed 1 percent to 5.88 liras, in a second day of gains. Arcelik, which is owned by Koc Holding AS (KCHOL) , may take part in a government project to manufacture tablet computers for school children, Hurriyet reported, citing Chief Executive Levent Cakiroglu.

Yunsa Yunlu Sanayi & Ticaret AS (YUNSA TI), a woolen fabrics maker owned by Haci Omer Sabanci Holding AS (SAHOL) , gained 3.2 percent to 3.60 liras, the biggest increase in a week. Yunsa plans to grow in Brazil, China, Japan and Korea to increase sales by 20 percent next year, Dunya reported, citing Chief Executive Cem Celikoglu.
