Persian Gulf Stocks: Almarai and Saudi Hollandi Bank Advance
Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index (SASEIDX) advanced 0.7 percent to 6,330.01, the highest since Aug. 3, at the 3:30 p.m. close in Riyadh. The measure rose 1.5 percent this week. Dubai’s DFM General Index (DFMGI) slumped 1.8 percent.
The following shares were active in the Persian Gulf region. Stock symbols are in parentheses.
Almarai Co. (ALMARAI) climbed to the highest in 10 months, increasing 3.1 percent to 99.75 riyals. Saudi Arabia’s largest food producer by market value acquired Fondomonte SA for 312 million riyals ($83 million).
Saudi Hollandi Bank (AAAL) advanced to the highest since Aug. 3, rising 3.2 percent to 28.8 riyals. The Saudi lender plans to give one bonus share for every five held.
