German Stocks Fall; SAP, K+S, Metro Slide as Allianz, Deutsche Bank Climb

German stocks erased gains as SAP AG (SAP) and Metro AG (MEO) declined.

The DAX Index lost 0.6 percent to 5,813.81 at 1:52 p.m. in

Frankfurt, erasing an earlier gain of as much as 2 percent. The benchmark measure has retreated 16 percent this year amid concern the debt crisis will derail the global economic recovery. The broader HDAX Index also slid 0.6 percent today.
