EDP Renovaveis Says Eneop Obtains Project Finance Loan From EIB
EDP Renovaveis SA (EDPR), the renewable- energy unit of Portuguese utility EDP-Energias de Portugal SA, said Eneop-Eolicas de Portugal SA obtained a project finance loan of 260 million euros from the European Investment Bank.
The financing will be used for Eneop wind energy farms in Portugal with a capacity of 376 megawatts, EDP Renovaveis said today in a regulatory filing.
“The closing of this transaction will allow an equity reimbursement to Eneop’s shareholders, which have fully funded the investment in the second group of projects through equity contributions and shareholder loans,” EDP Renovaveis said.
The Eneop venture is ownen by partners including EDP Renovaveis, Enel Green Power SpA (EGPW) and Enercon GmbH.
