Ukraine, Russia Agree Gas Pipe Project, Kommersant Says

Ukraine and Russia agreed to form a group to handle Ukraine’s natural gas pipelines as part of an agreement for cheaper fuel imports from Russia, Kommersant- Ukraine reported, citing an official in the Energy and Coal Ministry.

The countries still have to agree who should take part in the project, which will manage the country’s pipeline system, according to the newspaper. Ukraine wants to invite European partners to participate and Russia wants a bilateral formation, Kiev-based Kommersant reported.
