Exxon Weighs Deal With GKP for Kurdish Oil, Independent Says

Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) may join with Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd. (GKP) to develop oil resources in the Kurdish region of northern Iraq, the Independent on Sunday reported, without citing anyone.

The newspaper didn’t specify if the deal may involve an acquisition by Exxon of Bermuda-based GKP or some form of joint development of the Shaikan oil field in the semi-autonomous region.
