Vitol Said to Buy Jet Fuel From Mangalore Refinery for January

Vitol Group bought 36,000 metric tons of jet fuel from Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL), said three traders who declined to be identified because they aren’t authorized to speak to the media.

Oil & Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC), the country’s largest oil producer, owns about 72 percent of Mangalore Refinery.

Details of the trade are as follow:

Product:    Aviation turbine fuel
Quantity:   36,000 tons
Loading:    Jan. 22-24
Port:       New Mangalore, west coast of India
Price:      Discount of about $2 a barrel to Singapore prices
Buyer:      Vitol
Seller:     Mangalore Refinery
