Russia Exported 10.8 Million Tons of Wheat, Meslin in 10 Months

Russia’s exports of wheat and meslin, a mix of wheat and rye, fell 8.3 percent year-on-year to 10.8 million metric tons in the first 10 months of 2011, the Federal State Statistics Service said.

Barley exports were almost 1.4 million tons, or about 12 percent less than in the same period last year. Russia exported 122,000 tons of rice in the period, 3.8 percent down from 2010, the service said today. Sunflower seed exports were up 57 percent at 21,100 tons.
