Some China Solar Cell Makers Halt Production, Official Says

More than 300 silicon-based solar cell makers in China are halting all or half of their production because of an oversupply, Li Junfeng, deputy director of energy research institute under the National Development and Reform Commission, said at a conference in Beijing today.
There are about 728 such companies in total in mainland China, he said.
