Liquidnet Halted U.S. Stock Trading After Technical Problem

Liquidnet Holdings Inc., which runs a private platform known as a dark pool, said a technical problem caused it to halt trading in U.S. stocks today, according to an e-mailed statement.

The company said it has resolved the issue, which began at about 9:40 a.m. New York time, and has resumed trading, according to the statement.

“This was an anomaly and we have taken steps to ensure it does not happen again,” Liquidnet said.
