Kazakhstan to Raise Uranium Output to 21,346 Tons Next Year

Kazakhstan plans to increase uranium production to 21,346 metric tons next year, said Kazatomprom, the state nuclear company.

Kazatomprom’s net income is expected to rise to 77 billion tenge ($520 million) this year, the Astana-based company said in a statement e-mailed today.

The central Asian nation plans to raise output to 19,900 tons this year, the company said in September.
