Iran May Move Uranium Enrichment to Safer Location, Mehr Reports

Iran will move its uranium enrichment centers to locations that are safer from attack if necessary, Mehr reported, citing Gholamreza Jalali, head of the nation’s civil defense organization.

The vulnerability of the country’s nuclear sites has been minimized, he said, according to the state-run news agency. The U.S. and Israel aren’t able to attack Iran’s atomic facilities or they they would have done so already, he said, according to the report.

The location of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, in a border region, makes it difficult to attack because it would put the security and safety of Iran’s southeastern neighbors at risk, he said, according Mehr.
