NBA’s Oldest Active Player Kurt Thomas Signs With Portland Trail Blazers

Kurt Thomas, the oldest active player in the National Basketball Association, signed with the Portland Trail Blazers.

The signing of the 39-year-old forward was announced on the team’s website. Terms weren’t disclosed. Thomas is one day older than Phoenix Suns forward Grant Hill.

Thomas played in 52 games last year for the Chicago Bulls, averaging 4.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

Thomas was selected by the Miami Heat with the 10th pick in the 1995 NBA Draft. In 16 seasons with eight teams, including the New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks, Thomas has scored 8,716 points and grabbed 7,051 rebounds.
