Xavier Suspends Four Players Following Basketball Brawl Against Cincinnati

Xavier University suspended four basketball players for their involvement in a brawl during yesterday’s 76-53 win over the University of Cincinnati.

Xavier said on its website that Dezmine Wells and Landen Amos will each sit out four games, Mark Lyons will serve a two- game ban and Tu Holloway received a one-game suspension.

Cincinnati also suspended four players earlier today, with six-game bans given to Yancy Gates, Octavius Ellis and Cheikh Mbodj. Ge’Lawn Guyn will sit out one game, the Bearcats said in a statement on their website.
