Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW) aims to increase U.S. sales by 25 percent from about 240,000 units this year, Automotive News Europe reported, citing an interview with Ludwig Willisch, head of the its North American operations.
Willisch said BMW is targeting the increase to 300,000 unit sales in the mid-term, the report said. A person at the company said the aim is to reach that figure by 2013-14, according to the report, which didn’t specify who supplied the information.
