Euro Advances on Prospects European Summit Will Boost Bailout Funds

The euro advanced versus the dollar and yen amid speculation Europe will expand funds available to the region’s most-indebted nations as leaders prepare to meet in Brussels tomorrow.

The 17-nation currency rose 0.3 percent to $1.3436 as of 3:21 p.m. in Tokyo and strengthened 0.3 percent to 104.43 yen.
