Antena 3, Sexta May Merge This Month, El Confidencial Reports

A merger between Gestora De Inversiones Audiovisuales La Sexta SA and rival broadcaster Antena 3 de Television SA (A3TV) may take place this month El Confidencial reported, citing unidentified television executives.
The agreement for the merger may be reached at Antena 3’s board meeting on Dec. 21 and the exchange equation may mean that the new group is 85 percent owned by Antena 3 and 15 percent by La Sexta, the newspaper said.
