Wladimir Klitschko Cancels Mormeck Fight Following Kidney Stone Operation

Wladimir Klitschko’s world heavyweight title fight against France’s Jean-Marc Mormeck has been cancelled, the Ukrainian boxer said on his website.

The 35-year-old, who beat Britain’s David Haye in July, had an operation at the weekend to remove a kidney stone. He was scheduled to fight Mormeck, 39, in Dusseldorf, Germany on Dec. 10.

Klitschko holds the International Boxing Organization, International Boxing Federation, World Boxing Organization and World Boxing Association titles.

Klitschko’s has won 56 of his 59 fights, including 49 knockouts.
