Ukraine Boosts 11-Month Coal Output by 9.6%, Interfax Reports

Ukraine increased coal production by 9.6 percent to 75 million metric tons in first 11 months of the year compared with the same period of 2010, Interfax-Ukraine newswire reported, citing an official at the Energy and Coal Ministry.

Coke coal extraction rose 3.8 percent to 22.8 million tons, Interfax reported. Energy coal output rose 12.4 percent to 52.3 million tons, according to Interfax.
