Pato ‘Bait’

AC Milan plans to offer Alexandre Pato to Manchester City in return for loaning Carlos Tevez, the Daily Mail reported.

City coach Roberto Mancini may be more interested in Milan’s Brazilian defender Thiago Silva, the Mail said.

Drogba Exit

Chelsea will listen to offers for six players including Didier Drogba and Jose Bosingwa in the January transfer window, the Daily Mail reported.

Salomon Kalou and Paulo Ferreira are also available along with Nicolas Anelka and Alex, who have both handed in transfer requests, the Mail said.

England’s ‘Dump’

The training base in Poland that England picked for the 2012 European Championship is a “dump,” according to the Sun.

The stadium of fourth-division team Hutnik Krakow is strewn with rubble, although the club’s management say renovation is underway, the Sun reported.

Villa Injuries

Aston Villa coach Alex McLeish will ask owner Randy Lerner, who is cost-cutting, for funds if injury woes continue, the Daily Mirror reported.

Villa had Shay Given and Jermaine Jenas carried off in a 1- 0 defeat to Manchester United at the weekend, the Mirror said.
