Digital Camera Shipments by Japanese Makers for Oct.

Global digital camera shipments by Japanese manufacturers fell 5.4 percent in Oct. from a year earlier, according to an industry group.

Shipments by Canon Inc. (7751), Sony Corp. (6758), Olympus Corp. (7733) and other companies rose to 12.9 million units in the month, the Tokyo- based Camera & Imaging Products Association said today on its Web site. Revenue fell 9.3% to 155.0 billon yen ($2.0 billion).
