Merkel Calls for ‘Political Courage’ on Europe, DPA Reports

German Chancellor Angela Merkel called for “political courage” for closer cooperation among countries that share the euro, Deutsche Presse Agentur reported.

Merkel repeated that “limited” treaty changes should be ratified by euro-area member states to that end, DPA said. The chancellor spoke to journalists before a meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg today north of Berlin.
