New Zealand Business Confidence Recovered in November, ANZ Says

New Zealand business confidence rose for the first time in four months in November, according to a survey by ANZ National Bank Ltd.

A net 18.3 percent of companies expect the economy will improve over the next 12 months, up from 13.2 percent in October, according to the survey released in Wellington today. A second measure of expectations for companies’ sales and earnings increased to 28.8 percent, compared with 26.1 percent last month.

The net figure subtracts the number of pessimists from the number of optimists.
