LG, Samsung Asian Electronics Makers Advance on U.S. Black Friday Sales

LG Electronics Inc. (066570) gained as much as 7.2 percent after Black Friday sales in the U.S. rose to a record, boosting the earnings outlook for South Korean home appliance and computer exporters. LG Electronics traded 7.1 percent higher at 68,300 won as of 9:42 a.m. on the Korea Exchange, while the benchmark Kospi Index rose 1.7 percent. Samsung Electronics Co. advanced 2.9 percent and LG Display Co. gained 5 percent.
