Indonesian Stocks: Astra, Harum Energy, International Nickel
Shares of the following companies had unusual (JCI) moves in Indonesian trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of the close in Jakarta.
The Jakarta Composite index rose 0.3 percent to 3,647.05.
PT Astra International (ASII) , Indonesia’s biggest automotive retailer, rallied 1.5 percent to 69,150 rupiah. The Jakarta Composite index may rise to 4,450 in 2012, Citigroup Inc. said in a Nov. 25 report, adding that Astra was among companies it favored.
PT Harum Energy (HRUM) , an Indonesian coal producer dropped 5.4 percent to 6,950 rupiah, the lowest close since Oct. 10. The Mahakam Bridge in East Kalimantan collapsed over the weekend, potentially disrupting coal barging activities, said Herman Koeswanto, an analyst at Jakarta-based PT Mandiri Sekuritas.
PT International Nickel Indonesia (INCO) , the nation’s largest producer of the metal, gained 0.8 percent to 3,075 rupiah. Nickel futures advanced as much as 3 percent on the London Metal Exchange today.
