British Columbia Sees Budget Deficit Widening to C$3.09 Billion in 2011-12

British Columbia revised its budget deficit projection for the fiscal year that began April 1 to C$3.09 billion ($2.99 billion), from a C$2.78 billion forecast in September.

British Columbia, in a budget update released today in Vancouver, said it forecast a larger deficit because of lower revenue.
