M Dias Branco SA (MDIA3), Bunge Ltd. (BG) and Campbell Soup Co. (CPB) are interested in buying Brazilian cookie- maker Marilan Alimentos SA, Valor Economico reported, without saying where it got the information.
Marilan expects to receive bids by Dec. 15, the Sao Paulo based newspaper said. PepsiCo Inc. is also interested in the business, which could fetch more than 500 million reais ($263 million), Valor said.
Bunge, PepsiCo (PEP) and Marilan declined to comment on market rumors, according to Valor. Campbell didn’t respond when contacted by Valor, the newspaper said. M Dias Branco denied that it is interested in buying Marilan, Valor said.
